CALLING FOR ENTRIES FROM SCHOOL STUDENTS

CREATE A 1-MINUTE FILM AND WIN ONE OF FOUR $500 CASH PRIZES!

Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) is proud to present the 1-Minute Film Competition 2018, now in its third year.

The competition provides Australian and New Zealand primary and secondary–school students with the opportunity to make a 1-minute film or animation, and win fantastic prizes in the process.

The theme for this year’s competition is ‘Memory’. Entrants are encouraged to be creative with the theme! They may wish to look at memory within the spheres of science, technology or the environment, or they may like to examine ideas such as dreams or premonitions.

To enter the 1-Minute Film Competition, students must create a 1-minute film adhering to this theme and submit it into one of the following four categories:

  • Lower Primary (Years F–3)
  • Upper Primary (Years 4–6)
  • Lower Secondary (Years 7–9)
  • Upper Secondary (Years 10–12)

The winner of each category will receive a prize including $500 in cash!

The 1-Minute Film Competition website includes the full rules of the competition as well as the online entry system, but we have provided a brief outline below.
